Calamondin or Chinese Orange

By minamahal
This is my Calmondin it always give me fruits twice a yearSmile. It is a fruit tree in the family Rutacease native to the Philipine Island and we used to call it Calamansi. It is believed to originate from China.

Calamondin is a cross between Citrus reticulata (Mandarin orange group) and Fortunella japonica (Kumqaut group)

Calamondin citrus has found several medicinal uses, insect bites, the juice can relieve the itching and reduce the irritation. It is a natural anti-inflamatory, can use as cough medicine often mixed with green tea and use as natural acne medicine. I tried it and it really helps to reduce coughing and sometimes I just eat it and its sourSmile You can try however I never try it as a conditoner but I will Smile

In its unripened state you can use as a hair conditioner, a body deodorant, an ink stain remover for fabrics! Enjoy and hope the little info will help you in some way!Smile
