Spanish lady at "The Blue Room"

By mirchevphotography
This is an image from my latest photoshoot, which took place over the weekend. The beautiful model is my local barista at coffee Nero. I have notice that she holds lots of potential as a model, so we arrange, after she agreed, for the photosession taking place in my daughter's room - it wasn't done in a studio.

Can i ask what the reasoning was behind shooting so dark. looking at your other stuff its clear your brilliant at taking photos but for me that image looks like the flash was to far away. shes a stunning model and a bit more light would of made her look even more fantastic.

Hi @dmbrkmn,

I really appreciate your comment and concern. Now one of the reason why the image is so moody is that with the time, as anyone progresses trough their career/craft, I started to push towards more edgy lighting/looks etc. Another reason is that I have retouched the image quite late in the night, was tired, also I have it saved as 16bit TIFF file and there are some issues with the online platforms the images are uploaded to.
For example - you can see how different the images are displayed on a different platforms, FB being the worst so far.

Instagram looks ok.
500px - for some reason displays the images very red.

And purple port:

By the way - I just opened the file right now and, actually, I can brighten her face a bit Wink
