Rome - Protestant Cemetery

By MissPea
If you ever go to Rome then get yourself off the beaten track and head to the Protestant Cemetery (or the non-Catholic Cemetery as its also known). It is one of the most beautiful places i have been too with a wonderful atmosphere.

Shelley and Keats are both buried there (have included Keats' grave in image 2). Shelley said of the cemetery "It might make one in love with death, to think that one should be buried in so sweet a place".

This is a close up of one of the statues, I loved the colours of the faded flowers.

Thanks for looking.
