Nice detail shot to begin with, and the treatment you'vegiven it is excellent - its inspired me to have a go!

Lovely shot of this spot. Like Doug, I was going to query the "quick retreat to the pub" comment - nearest pub is in Broadford isn't it??? Smile

The Windmill

The Windmill by markash

Excellent foreground, and the central placement of the 'mill works very well.

Very creative use of light, and the presence of the swirling smoke adds to the whole mood nicely.

So simple, but excellent all the same. Love the subtle colours.

I've just uploaded a photo with 'schloss' in the title - weird!

I like this shot - a nice idea, and something a bit different.

Absolutely gorgeous!!

Blea Tarn

It's an oft-shot view, but this is as good as any I've seen - super mirror-like water, and great colours.

Surprised In The Shower

Surprised In The Shower by Fishnet

Super shot!! It's just the perfect mix of cheekiness, humour, etc.!!

Nicely done!

Full of mood, with a cracking sky. Steve is right - this is under-clicked.

'Brick' by dp

Very nice Dave. Positioning of the brick is great, as is the timingg with the wave. Good shutter speed too, getting just the right amount of movement in the water.

The Old Man of Storr

The Old Man of Storr by pask

I did exactly the same walk (at about the same time!) a couple of weeks ago, in fact I think we must have stood in the same spot - sadly (for me) the light wasn't as kind.

This is great.

Above the Border

Above the Border by keithh

Very nice. At first I wasn't so sure about the movement in some of the grass in front of the rocks, but the more I look at it, the more I think it 'works'. Such an interesting pink 'halo' around the sun too.

Not an 'obvious' landscape, and all the stronger because of that.

The Pier

The Pier by debster

Very nice indeed - the sand and the colourful pebbles seem to sing!

One thing tho - clone out that dirty great footprint bottom-left.

LOL, haven't quite emigrated!! Not yet anyway!! OM is still as nuts as ever - I don't go on much these days due to the bickering and arguing. Anyway, well done again on the photos - top class work!
