This picture was taken at Kutubdia, an small island located very close to bay of Bengal. Most of the islanders are fishermen, salt harvester or relay on sea for their leaving. She is waiting for her family members to return home after their daily work.

looking out of the frame presents just that...anticipation, placing her to the left of the frame would have never worked, very good shot, i would love to see a b+w

This is really nice. Its certainly anticipation, waiting, maybe hoping.

I like that hint of something inside at the far side; the anonymous naked child outside. Her expression, staring inot the distance.

You are fortunate to be able to take these shots.

I would suggest some minor tweaks, as dont in the mod. cropped a small slice from the right and added the same amount to the left, simply to move her forward a little more; applied local sharpening to her face to give it a little more definition; slightly warmer colour balance.

Well done,

restlessness to meet them.. waiting and waiting.. boredom.. time passes too slowly.. heat.. suffocation.. only the dream of meeting them keeps her going, still.. so much love.. so much desire for love.. so much yearning to share it.. of a long, long past.. you can clearly understand..
I felt it yesterday.. ultimately there would remain only love and joy at the moment of beckoning.. and nothing else.. a little bit of shyness would be there..
her only bottom line is - they will free me of the mousetrap of my life..

This has so much atmosphere and obviously tells a story. I was surprised at how much the outside light and inside darkness affect that mood, and the look on the lady's face says so much. This is like an old masterpiece, where they used this sort of differential light, and also red clothing, because it has impact.

I like the way the screen shields the nude child outside from being so obvious, and the way the lady is holding the door frame, as if to say "this is where they will enter when they come home".

There is something on the right frame edge that looks like an arm, and I would suggest cropping that away.
Otherwise, I cannot fault it.

Usually, we don't encourage multiple posts in the Critique Gallery, because it makes for so much work on one post.

However, you can post multiple images by adding variants - look at the options menu under the picture. Then, ask for specific comment on the series, and not on the individual shots. That way, we know that it's the sequence that matters.

I have to be conventional! This is superb other than the left hand side. Just cannot understand that. To me, it jars the eye straight off. Crop vertically just behind her and the result is absolutely first class.
