tree trunk mushrooms

this tree trunk was covered in mushrooms but unfortunately i had the wrong lens with me to show this.but now i know for next time i visit.
tripod, cable release, seagull angle viewfinder and reflector used.
ISO 200
ex comp -1 2/3
shutter spd 1/6
aperture 8.0
also retouched in photoshop to get ride of unwanted bits.

Good subject and nicely captured.
It is a tad on the dark side, always a problem in forests! Use a torch with the reflector to add a bit of diffused light on the subject next time. Also try using a higher apeture, between f11 and f16 to get more of the subject in sharp focus and if you look closely the actual point of focus is just in front of the main subject so the back of it becomes softer at f8. Lastly and this is just my opinion try portrait format, there is too much moss in the F/G.
