Triptych...... 2

By Mollycat
Liked the form this tulip had taken after losing some petals. So thought I would have another go at a triptych. V2 being the previous one.

Many thanks for yesterday votes and comments on ' Tulip ', especially to Richard ( DicksPics ), Kate, Ade, Jenn and Cathy & Stan
for their valued UA's.

This is beautiful Peter, in some ways, moreso than it might be with an intact flower.

This works extremely well Peter. The trick with triptychs is that the combination of images must say something to each other, this one does exactly that, spot on.

It isn't easy to get the balance that you have here, the three panels have to combine together into something greater than the sum of the individual parts. This has a very graceful flow - the angles of that leaf add a lot.

I applaud your effort here, Peter, having the poor tulip at three different angles, with different areas of focus in each, and with the curled leaf binding the composition together nicely.
I don't know if you wanted to keep it dark to give the impression of "death", but it would benefit from brightening, I think. If you enable mods, I'll show you. I also want to try placing the right-hand flower in the centre, simply because it's upright and the other two lean over. The other thing I'd do is make the outer white border deeper.
