Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue

By monashort
My little sister got married on Jan. 2, 2010. We lost my mother on Thanksgiving so it was very bitter sweet.

Following the old tradition, the something "new" was her dress. Something "old and borrowed" was my mothers cameo, she gave me, that belonged to her Great Grandmother.

The something "blue"...
Note the ring on her little finger. My brother had a ring made for all of my mothers children. My mother loved turquoise and she was cremated. My brother had rings designed that holds a pinch of my mothers remains inside and is topped off with turquoise.

My sister was moved to tears and was so glad we found away to have my mother in her wedding.

More pictures to come. My first wedding photography. I am anxious to read your thoughts.

Thanks for stopping by,
Mona

My thoughts mona I think your mother is looking down on you all with great pride, what a wonderful idea your brother had with the rings. This is a beautiful portrait and one to treasure

She looks great Mona, and you did her proud! Most of all I like how you made her hair glow!
