  • Week 51/52 - Dirty Window

Thanks mrswoolybill, that was one of the reasons I had to go back and shoot it again as previously the window bar wasn't hiding the shore of the river and the top of St Pauls was behind the other one.

  • Week 27/52 - Coincidence?

Thanks Pink, I did initially try it in B&W, but what can I say, I'm a sucker for colour Smile

  • Week 25/52 - Embankment

Quote:Wonderful shot - and not a soul in sight Except for the adverts this image could have been from almost any time during the last 50 years.

I hate to be a nit-picker but your inclusion of the location coordinates caught my eye. When I clicked on them, the location of the Shard was displayed on the map. (Same goes when I checked Google Earth). Google suggests 5130'25.87"N 0 7'19.52"W for Embankment but maybe there are there different coordinate systems . . . or those underground passageways wander a long distance. SmileSmile

To be honest I didn't double check the GPS coordinates, they are straight out of camera so I'm guessing that was maybe the last time it could see the sky.

Thanks for commenting, and if you look really carefully there is a silhouette of someone going about their business right at the end of the tunnel Grin

  • Week 5/52 - One Way

@rontear I'm hoping so, not sure how much effort the RSPCA put into rescuing animals like foxes, it was in a pretty bad way. I like to think that either way at least it isn't suffering any more.

  • Slumbering Canal Boats

Thanks for commenting Somerled7. I hadn't considered it if I'm honest, probably because the boat is sitting on a third line which is typically the way I normally compose. Its a nice idea though and I will try it out and see if it improves the shot. Thanks!Grin

Thanks everyone. Very fond memories indeed. I have another couple of shots of a different bull elephant which was clearly agitated as he was throwing sand and generally being very aggressive. I'm in the process of trying to bring it up to a similar level of polish as this one.

    Thanks everyone for your comments.

TanyaH, you are right I think I'm also leaning more towards this, mainly because of the bump in the road which I think adds so much more to this one.
