One from a while ago, this is a tunic of the Isle of Wight Rifles, this was worn by the Duke of York ( later King George V ) It is on display at Carisbrooke Castle along with a Signed Photo of King George V wearing this tunic. Image has bee converted to B&W as the tunic is in a cabinet with that horrible yellow lighting :-(

Thank you all so much for all your C&C's very much appreciated

Thanks for taking the time to look

Brilliant, going in close creates a window on the past. We can imagine the stories behind the gold braid façade.

A stunning low light observational piece, which really stands out from the crowd. Your attention to detail in this piece is sport on.

fine capture and good idea to show as mono all these places and museums have horrible light to overcome in most cases

The mono conversion really focusses attention on the textures, and an excellent crop as well, Hugh.

Glad that you were able to rescue this image Hugh by changing it to mono. Smile

Reminds me of the opening sequence of that excellent series 'Sharpe', with Sean Bean.
Lovely detailing, and a great capture.
