Seven Silver Spoons

By Irishkate
Modified by CombineZP
For a bit of a change these are some silver spoons which I've been trying hard to capture
to bring out all the detail. I uploaded a trial effort recently and got some good advice
but I still found this one of the most difficult tasks I've set for myself.
I'll upload the colour version also but I think the light makes them too gold looking -
maybe I should have used a silver reflector? I only have two anglepoise lights
and did try using a light tent.
Thank you all for vs & cs on Spring Mixture and a special thank you to my daughter Clare(CLARECUM)
who is florist for giving me her User Award. She doesn't even give me a vote if she doesn't like something,
so an award from her is meaningful!

The light in V2 does give a nice colour tone but the more natural V3 is my choice. - gary

You've captured the detail, Kate, but I'm not quite convinced about the composition, the proportion of background to spoon looks just a bit too much still. Or maybe if you pull that middle top one down and show the whole spoon?

V3 stands out the most for detail and a splash of colour.
Very nice comp.
Still think you need to look down on the spoons to gain the best out of them.
Well done..

Another imaginative, experimental image from your " stable" Kate. It's a wonderful 'catalogue' shot, showing all the detail you could wish for. The V2 is very pleasing to the eye, being that beautiful golden colour (due to the tungsten light you used). However V1 probably gives you a more accurate rendition of what you wanted to produce! Well thought out arrangement.

V1 for me Kate, I would have liked to see all the spoons! But it is depending how much room you were working in.

V3 with the little added interest of the colour is my favourite Kate. A lovely set of spoons to own.

I am a lover of all things silver, but having studied all three images, Kate, going back and forth, I have to say, that to my eye, the golden colour suits the red/ruby coloured stones better than v3 and by association the other spoons. I wasn't struck by v1, therefore it's v2 for me ... Carol Grin
