I'm not 'Al Green.'

By Mozzytheboy
I'd managed to get the burgundy one but failed on each attempt at the green one. There were several flowering but none with an open flower. The sun shone, ground warmed slightly and there was just the one. Again I set the camera down in the ground cover plants and used timer with tilted live view screen to get the image.

We have the builders here for a while and they were giving me odd looks seeing me laying down flat on the ground. Hardest part was getting up again.

Thank you everyone for the lovely and positive comments on my earlier Helleborus, the burgundy one.

I have uploaded three variants. The main one is a crop from landscape to reduce BG mass, some curves work, bit of dodge and burn in the very heart. f4 1/160 AV. The remaining two are a BG change to see if it might work and the third very very lightly tone-mapped to the main flower with Photomatix Pro 5.1

Lovely shots, it's great to see these flowering a sign that Spring is not too far off, mine are still in bud and covered in snow.
