♥I really like the effect, if you're worried about the words on the page you could always make up a dummy page with just the ones you want on it Smile

Mountain on the move

Mountain on the moveFabulous sky that really sets off the landscape Smile

If I'm being brutally honest, I feel that the framing doesn't really add anything, and possibly might actually lessen the impact. Might be nice to see it in a "standard" frame Smile

Moped Moped Moped!

Moped Moped Moped!Hi Shane - welcome to EPZ and the Junior Gallery! Smile

I really like the point of view and the huge variety of colours really pop out against the B&W on the right-hand side! Smile

BTW - you might want to edit your tags, I don't think anything in your image is a bird! Wink

MushroomHi James, welcome to EPZ and the Junior Gallery from me too Smile

I appreciate that you must've got down really quite low for this shot, but wonder if you had rested the camera on the floor, whether you might have not had to include the sky at all? That way, we would be able to concentrate on the wonderful fungi without the distraction of either a bland sky or a wonky horizon! Smile

Autumn II

Autumn II
Quote: I agree with Luke! A gorgeous image, with plenty of autumnal colour and interest to hold the eye!

Totally agree Smile

One small point though - if you open the gate (remember to close it afterwards) you can "invite" people into your shot, rather than create a barrier to what's beyond it by leaving it closed - worth a try? Smile

Fenced off ..

Fenced off ..I like the detail in the nearest post and the wire - I do find the bland sky a little bit too bright, so I might be tempted to crop it off altogether - try scrolling the screen and see what you think Smile

little lake

little lakeI like the composition too, and the detail in the boat and the jetty is lovely, but I might have been tempted to crop the top to get rid of the sky - I think it still works and focuses on the fg too Smile

The Shallows

The ShallowsI like the way the railing leads you through the image too Smile

Another good landscape tip that I was given when I first started, Oli, was that if there's nothing happening in the sky, crop it off! try it and see what you think - personally, I think you can afford to crop this to the top of the trees Smile

Have fun with the new lens Smile

coffee has a friend

coffee has a friendLove the colours and the way you've filled the width of the frame. Have to agree about the crop, though, try scrolling the screen to see what we mean Smile

beach life

beach lifeSuper candid, perhaps a cropping the bottom would help bring the actin a little closer Smile

Tough times

Tough timesWell seen, Mike, great capture Smile

(Have to be honest, I'm not too sure about the rocks in the fg - whilst it's okay, I think the image works better with just white snow ahead of him - see what you think)

snowy trees

snowy treesIt looks very cold!

I wonder if you got a touch of camera shake due to the low light conditions? You could always try using a tripod to overcome the problem Smile

Tears on a rose

Tears on a roseHi Mariam, welcome to EPZ and the Junior Gallery from me too Smile

Just remember practise makes perfect, have you tried leaning on something solid to help prevent camera shake?

Big Daisy

Big DaisyI really like the daisy, and the way you've got it in focus against the blurry bg, but I do find the leaf on the rh side a bit distracting, Matt. Not sure which software you use, but I'm sure it would be really simple to clone it out or just crop the image to loose it. try covering it up with a piece of card or your hand and see what you think Smile

BoatHouse Steps

BoatHouse StepsGosh, looking at the water, it looks like it was really windy!

Personally, I don't mind the wall, and I really like the curve of the steps, but I'd crop the top off and get rid of the tree branch and bland sky Smile
