Shadows on frost 3

By mrswoolybill
Back to portrait format for pent-up energy...
This composition was the version for the b&w upload a little while ago, but it was the portrait format composition that worked the best for me in colour.
Thanks for looking,

Colour can sometimes over complicate or confuse things, but this manages to stay the right side of the line... good composition shines through.

Alan sums it up well. There is not enough colour to confuse, and the colours that are there, all say Brrrr!

The original mono worked well, but I do like the colours in this version 👍

Hmmm, I'm not so sure about this, I much preferred the black & white version, but then I would, can't help itBlush

would prefer mono version; if it were not for these shades of green... divine

The colours do not overwhelm the senses being fairly muted but thinking back I probably prefer the mono version.

I quite like the contrast of the lines cast by the shadow as a juxtaposition to the railway lines, having said that I have never been a fan of Saturday shadows and silly Sunday, can't even remember when that all started now, seems like it has been forever Wink

Thanks folks. I've just sent a pm to Paul with the location, it's the tramway above the events field at Beamish.
Matt, Tony64 suggested Saturday Shadows, maybe ten years ago, and it caught on. Silly Sunday has been around for ever... I find both a good stimulus, when I don't have a project going.
