Across the pond

By mrswoolybill
Looking across the Boathouse pond in Wallington's West Wood.
I'd have liked a bit more space at the bottom but there was a tangle of weeds, and I would have needed waders to clear them...
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Lovely shot Moira. If you hadn't mentioned the waders i'd have assumed you'd
arranged the plant specifically for the shot. Very nicely composed and captured..

If you leave the waders in your camera bag, you'll never have this problem again as you'll always have them with you.Wink

The beauty is in the simplicity and the way the reeds cross. Great job...

Crisp and sharp, delicacy greens and a nice soft background.

I thought you were referring to the Atlantic at first?

Has a very slight Japanese feel. Though admittedly I've never actually felt a slight Japanese.

love how the blades cross and the dof is just right for a perfect bg separation

Malc, if I could remember to take basic essentials it would help.

I was aware of that as I was taking it, having watched a certain amount about ikebana of late.
Thanks folks and good morning.

perfectly composed (in my opinion...), and such a beautiful, delicate light captured there... a gem

Good use of DOF to isolate the bulrushes from the background. I like how the leaves have interleaved with each other, and supporting themselves!

Who wears the waders in your house Wink
Get Bill to put them on, give him a machete and the weeds will be gone Smile

Despite just about everything being different about the presentation and subject matter (apart from the grass), we seem to have a nice pairing of Woollybill images today.

Delightful. I wonder if it was planned or coordinated at all?
