Ancient & Modern

By mrswoolybill
York city walls reflected in the windows of a modern office block. Bill photographed the reflections too, but I spotted them first!
V1 is my favourite, but in the other two I like the effect of double glazing on the white railings.
Here's a link to Bill's version.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Definitely V1 for me. Great to see how you both take the same view differently. I tend to go in close my hubbie tends to like his wide angles. Super reflections, good to see you both in the shots and what great light.

I always recall these distorted window reflections we came across on you and Bills visit here.I put one in a club comp'.The cheeky sod of a judge deducted points as it was, ''all too easy to do it in photoshop'' !! Good set here Moira, but I bet that judge would tell you, ''pity the white railings are not straight'' !!

Trouble is, Bill uploaded 1st, which makes yours look like the copy. Backstabber!! Smile

I prefer V1 too. You have more detail from the buildings in the reflection, as you have a straighter shot.

I hope you weren't refering to the chap on the right in V3, when you were thinking of the ancient part of your title? If that's Bill, that's especially cruel, & likely to fuel the feud. Smile

These are absolutely brilliant Moira!! Inventive and very original captures. I may have to get you to send me a print when we have finished overhauling 'Frisby Towers, does 'Mrs Woolybill Incorporated' take orders yet?
We foolishly decided to have a new bathroom including a 'power' shower, which led to a new boiler...which led to some re-wiring...which will lead to...who knows? The trouble with having an older property is you always get the feeling the builder is going to say: "Do you mind if we just tear the whole thing down and start again Guv?"

Anyway Love these!
kind regards,
Robin
