Christmas in Sunderland 2

By mrswoolybill
Looking through a display case and into the cafe at the National Glass Centre. This is a different frame to the previous upload, a slightly different angle gave some interesting reflections on the glass. Colour will follow in due course.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Sad eyes - not surprising, really, a nose which is clearly not vertical and an offset mouth...and then the indignity of being put on display for all to see the imperfections...

The nose and lips are a bit askew, a fault or intended? Good positioning of the mask in the frame with out-of-focus highlights on the right giving it balance.

Precisely. There were other faces, I have one to upload some time, but none of the others was as inscrutable as this one.
Thanks everyone.

Different frame - different angle, different background, different reflections on the glass!

Very well composed, Moira.
But what is it that we're seeing in those eyes?
If it's a reflection, then where from?
Or are we looking right through to the other side of the glass container?

Just interested, that's all.Wink

John, the eyes are fascinating, I've been trying to work out how this was made.

Eyes fill up and tears drop to the floor....heartbreaking......

The nose is certainly not “Classical”, more Picasso than Bellini.
