Lost & Found

By Rende
I found this on the side of a canal; it is a detail of a bike that was fished out of the water in a cleaning operation that the council organizes regularly to keep the canals from filling up.
I thought it was an appropriate image to symbolize the old year; it even has a little flag to wave it goodbye Smile
Happy New Year!

Out with the old...
From the thumbnail, I thought for a moment that it was yesterday's newspaper caught on a wire fence.
Superbly oblique story-telling.

I couldn't agree more. Here's hoping the detritus of this year doesn't clutter the fresh water of the new year.

This is picking up quite a nice little collection of awards, let me add one more.
Plus - I remember a comment from years ago, a vote from Pete without the addition of an EC or HC actually counts as an LC (Lowly Commended Award)... Wink

I much like this - it's different and so very "you" Rende. Always on the look-out for these little treasures that most people just walk past. Nature creating art....
