The stones look as if they'd arranged themselves especially for your visit and you've done them proud. Smile

Thank you everyone, and good morning! It's another busy day, I have about 25 gardens to photograph for the local In Bloom competition. (We do a slide show of all the gardens at the awards presentation in September.) I'll catch up here later.

Ah, the results of your labours, as depicted by Bill. What a wonderful link, by the way: a real tag team! Anyway, these are lovely abstracts, with v1 being my preference.

Regards.

Marvellous images Moira V1 for me, I always marvel at how the little pebbles get into the cracks. The west coast has many places where the pebbles are jammed in crevices by the force of the sea. You two do seem to work so well together.

Two well found rustographic still lifes here Moira.
The RAS handbook will soon be having more volumes than Harry Potter if this keeps up !!
V1 is particulary appealing I think.

They each have such a joyful feeling...in v1 the little pebbles seem to be dancing, and in v2 the greenery has a very determined air...."you can't keep me down".

I'm with the crowd in especially enjoying #1 Moira. I'm glad that after exposure of your rustographic efforts through Bill's upload we can now see the fruits of your efforts! My wife accuses me of "photophaffing"...

It's not very often we get continuity like this. When looking at Bill's pictures of you taking these pictures, I was wondering what they would be like, then I get to see the results, and what results! My partner isn't too careful when shooting me shooting, and tends to capture my less photogenic sideGrin.
Great to see the results.. Two super comps .. Colour, textures ..

Hi Moira, I absolutely LOVE this composition, and, had I not seen Bill's upload of you taking this, I would have been convinced that the image was taken of a vertical rather than horizontal section of maybe a groyne or something!
Have a well deserved UA!

V1 is a wonderful study of colours, patterns and textures in both the rusted metal and the weathered wood

Two very striking images, I think I prefer the composition of v1 with the naturally straight lines all intersecting, but the inclusion of the leaves in v2 adds another dimension.. Knew this would be good from the thumbnail and it definitely lived up to expectations
