Saying goodbye

By mrswoolybill
All his life he was a traveller, on Sunday he made his last journey when his ashes sailed down the Tyne in a flotilla of little paper boats. A sort of Viking send-off in miniature, with a song, some quiet words and an official photographer. Followed by a finger buffet, far too much wine, and a slide show for memories.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Who was this?

Such a beautiful and fitting way to send him off. These two photos of the moment are just as warm a tribute, Moira. Well done.

I quite agree Moira a wonderful & moving send off.

Pity some-one didn't think of a camera as we did the same for my husband on Valentines day 1987 . Matt & I sailed him down the River Test at the Salmon Leap on his wreath of pink roses from me . He did love his fishing xx
