Still Smiling

By Fletcher8
The summer and The Tour De France seem like such a long time ago but the memories are still fresh. Leeds will be hosting the start in 2014 and i can't wait to experience it. so in the meantime here is a reminder of what the race is about.

I for one can't wait for the season to get under way in Australia in two weeks time with the Tour Down Under. I'll be back in Paris in July to see the finish and who knows maybe we'll see another British Cyclist in Yellow. As well as Cav making it 5 in a row on the Champs Elysee!

Love your picture as it evokes many happy days out on the bike as well as those times watching the racing.

Details of the 2014 route will be announced on 17 January, we are already considering our plans...
Love this, it has character as well as camaraderie.

I've tried a few times to photograph road-racing, it isn't easy. You wait a couple of hours and then it's all over in a few seconds, usually with some burly bloke suddenly walking into your line of view. I love the atmosphere you have captured here, the different expressions, the hand, the humour and rapport.
And I do wish that sports photography was better recognised here.

Many Thanks for your comment Moria "I do wish that sports photography was better recognised here"

I just think people don't really think about how difficult sports photography can be, like you state, the moment is often over in a matter of seconds and you rarely get a second chance.
