The old man and the sea

By mrswoolybill
I took a number of Lensbaby shots at Dungeness but this is the only one that I was satisfied with.
As I was putting my camera away the man turned round and saw me. 'You should have come next week, I'll have finished painting the b***** by then', he said.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

I like the lensbaby effect in this Moira. I'm toying with the idea of getting one in the future.

i think the lensbaby and this location go hand in hand. Some really surreal captures

Love the effect Moira! I suppose it might be a good idea to hire a lensbaby for a day or two to try it out.. Anyway - love the b&w which I always like at Dunge! Have a good weekend!

Mono for Dungeness definitely the right choice for this image. I can see the that using the lens baby has given the shot a different perspective I still find the lens strange but I am coming around!!!

And what would you be wanting with a pristinely painted boat, and no-one standing next to it working on it? GrinGrin. A sailor, not a photographer.... Great LB image Moira.

I reckon you should contact the Lensbaby folks, Moira, and sell them this image for their advertising - it seems a definitive showcase of what it can do. Very fine indeed.

An endless task, boat painting. And photography, come to think of it. It is a good job we enjoy it . . .

Thanks everyone - we are home for a quick lunch then out again, so I'll catch up later.
I'll add that the Lensbaby website has an excellent Gallery, including work by Oliver Tudoras (epz's bliba ).

The LB can be temperamentalWink Well, that's my excuse. And the effect does work here very well. I like lots. You could have offered to help him with the b***** painting!
