The Phantom of the Opera

By mrswoolybill
A mask, a violin, a swirling cloak. There's scope for a great horror story here...
Brompton Cemetery again.
I haven't touched the colour, but this strikes me as one of life's natural b&ws so I have included the tag. I hope nobody objects.
Thanks for looking,

Monochrome at it's best Moira, fail to see how colour could possibly improve this. Full of drama and texture, swirling arcs of stone.

on the way out the door, late as ever.

If you hadn't mentioned it Moira,
I would have thought it was a mono conversion.
Just a little hint of coloured grot here,
so OK with me !!

my monitor (of dubious truth) shows a great deal of very subtle color----taking this beyond black and white. A true b&w would reduce its beauty (to my eyes)

WOW. Yes yes...I love 'natural BWs' Smile And this is wonderful for that but above that, the focus and composition are fantastic. Of course there's the square crop. Wouldn't this make a really cool brooch?

Marvellous detail; lovely flowing, 'organic' stonework. I find it full of mirth and joy, with a slight suggestion of tipsy jollity.

Wonderful almost B/W Moria - I just wish I knew the thinking behind the stone carving. I wonder what the violin means - so interesting. And a great comp
