Event shooting

Back in 2007, I was lucky enough to get to shoot an all-day event. It started at a reasonable time in the morning and went on for what must be around 12 hours, ending with shooting, "The Feeling," on stage.

I ended up with a aching body from carrying equipment and also sun burn. I got to meet Mark Speight; little did I know he would be dead less than 12 months later. I had so many photographic challenges thrown at me and I had little option other than to get it right in camera as my instructions were to shoot in Jpeg; it was also someone other than me who would be doing the post-processing.

So, with everything from strong sun light, stage lights, shooting through double layers of fencing, hats and, untimately, near darkness, here is the account of that shoot - http://shootstart.com/blog/?p=18
