I think HDR can often come in for some undeserved flack. In this case you've done a reasonable job: e.g. your composition is excellent and I like the FG in particular. In regards to your use of HDR there are a couple of things to watch out for. First, is the obvious halo that is present above the buildings on the the right - a little careful cloning - perhaps using a blending layer would help correct this (or reducing the tone mapping effect). Second, is the mid-ground a shade too bright to look realistic? I'm undecided. Finally, and I suspect unrelated to the HDR - the sun rays are a little too strong to look realistic.

I appreciate that many of my comments relate to trying to get a 'realistic effect' and that this may not be your intent. As ever with criticism: keep what you like and ignore the rest! Wink

Agree with Adam but a little pointer..put your picture on a Black back ground..has much more impact.

Thanks for the comments, tips and of course the "Guest Editor Award"
Much appreciated

I totally agree with all that's been said regarding HDR.
Most of my images are HDR'd but in a way that nobody would know Grin Grin
This is a tad OTT compared to my usual work but I quite liked it Wink
