@tonyguitar, Thanks for that comment. I tried that and must admit it did turn out quite well. Thanks Smile

Quote:A cracking lens and a nice image but compositionally I would like to see a small amount cropped from the LHS to take the eye bridge closer to 1/3 the way in from the LHS: here is is a little too central for maximum impact. It is always best to aloow people to look into frames, vehicles to drive in etc it always makes your image easier and generally better on the eye. I will upload a mod to give you my suggestion. Maximum aperture is the worst performing aprt of your lens and so stopping down a little is preferable when you are able to do so, in this case maybe to at least f5.6.

Thanks for the modification. I really like it too. I will def be experimenting with the lens and seeing what I can produce.

@Davesumner & paulbroad and Thank you for the comment. I would have gotten lower to be more on an eye level with her, but I was not going to squat in a mud hold Grin. I will be work my way through the aperture's of the lens to see what I can produce. Its all a learning curve and I am sure I will be really happy with the future results of this nice lens.

Very well done. I like the lighting and composition of the photo. The skirt on the brunette is a tad distracting as there are red flowers in it, but overall great work Dave.

Excellent shot you have. Love the lighting, composition, overall feel of this picture. It tells a lot when you just look at it. Very well done.

Thanks. All I had was my 50mm, so it was difficult in some of my shots as I was limited in the range. First time out, so I thought I did pretty well.

I am liking this shot very much. Right amount of light and shadows. Very sharp. The only thing that I find distracting is the shadow under the left nipple, but other than that, very well done.

  • Sunset over the bridge

Thanks for the comment. I tried to get a wider shot of the bridge, and didn't want to crop it. If I would have changed the angle of the shot, I would have had railings, and tree's in the left side of the shot. Kinda limited on the focal range with the 50mm that I was shooting at. I tried to keep the bridge on the left side of the thirds to try and get the shot I was going for. When I get my 35mm f/1.8, I am going to go back and take the same shot to get a wide shot.

    Thanks again.
