Zante Ship II

Second of my images of the Panagiotis in Shipwreck Bay, Zakynthos.

This ship ended up here during a storm after being chased by the Greek navy in 1980 suspected of smuggling tobacco, wine and women.

The ship was originally the St Bedan built in Glasgow 1937.

Love the fact that a beautiful rusting vessel has not been vandalised with graffiti unlike this country.

How refreshing...that's a strikingly original photo of the now 'ubiquitous' Zante shipwreck - I like how you captured the scale of the beast! There is an full article about the Panayiotis in the e mag Zante Magazine link
