I love it. I'm expecting my first baby in February and can't wait to try pic like these.
This is a lovely tender phot you have captured the love between them, well done, look forward to seeing more of your shots, welcome to the site,
congrats! they are fun, even better when you can give them back to their parents when you finish playing with them... lol
It's funny - the thumbnail doesn't do this justice at all. The larger version looks awesome (thank god you finally joined e2!), you can see all the details and the toning is lovely. Congrats on the image and the new grand-daughter
thanks mel. i am very pleased with e2. amazing what another 500 pixels will do
Awesome portrait. They and you must be so happy with this. Did you consider having an all black bg (instead of the door) ?
well lit and beautiful toning..... excellent!!!
Beautiful tones and light Michael and looks superb in the larger version and when your in the larger version press F11 for the bigger picture!
Congratulations on your Grandaughter and hope you get see her more than I get to see mine.
Fab quality, such a beautiful capture. congrats
Great picture, would be nicer though if the background is without a visible door (the lines of the curtain are fine).
iHi there and welcome to the big world LOL. Great shot and luv the tension you have created with the pose.
Hope all is well and have a great weekend friend.
Lovely tender moment shot - greatskin tones too - EXCELLENT
Large version is a must see for sure. Love the simplified colours in this; very effective and conveys the sentiment perfectly.
Oh that is so good - just brillant Michael and the large version looks fab of course
Fabulous shot. The father seems to exude love for his baby in that intense gaze
Beautiful image. Truly inspiring.
Could be viewed as a sinister image given the child's expression. But! I see it as a father bonding with his daughter by singing a gentle song. If you look it's there. Not sure what you were going for though.
Welcome to e2.
nothing sinister martin. thanks
Given some of your past (and magnificent) images, you can never tell.
Hope you re-upload some of your best work now we have the chance to see it bigger.
Have a great weekend.
Youre a Grandfather!!
The large version makes the door easy to see, - its a great shot.
yes, willie, i am. but i just turned 42 so i'm not the typical... thank you martin, but i seriously doubt it. hopefully, any new work will suffice.
such a lovely timeless shot this somthing to cherish
A very emotive pic.
I like it a lot well done.
Even without the full-on manipulation you can still tell it's your image. A beautiful capture - you can see the father's love.
Thanks for the large version too!
[Edit: My thanks makes it sound like I've stolen your image...that wasn't what I meant!]
I love this pic and would like to try something similar. Can you advise as to your lighting technique? The skin tones are just amazing. Amazing portfolio too.
Congrats Mike on the birth of your grand daughter!! beautiful image Mike, love both of there expressions!!
thanks again. twister, it was done with a 300w softbox placed high and to the left, at a 45 degree down angle. there was also a gold reflector out front, about twice the distance from subject as the light source.
Hey Michael, some friends of mine have just had their first baby and I have already asked if they would like me to take some shots - of course, I had this image in the back of my mind - very inspirational
Congratulations on a lovely capture - an imaginative and sensitively conceived image which will no doubt become a very special keepsake ...
Beautiful, loverly tones and I like to contrast of strength and fragility.
