A winter's Tale

By Mynett
So so bored with this awful weather, the Tv is a waste of time so I found a U Tube turorial by Gavin Howy on this mini world, I tried a few images but this one seemed to work the best, the way the central tree protects the frost laden hedge row, fence and gate seems to tell a story. When I took the original image the temperature was reading -12 degrees, I did not stay out very long. Today it is raining heavy, and it is so dark here that I need the light on..... July, hard to believe that.....

many thanks for the Comments, clicks, and the UA on my previous image. I have enjoyed the comments and pm's about the last few uploads very much, thank you all for the inspirational points of veiw, good and bad.

I have to confess I do love these 'mini planets'! I've created a few myself (and uploaded a couple), and tried two or three techniques, but Gavin's is the best Smile You do have to choose a suitable subject though...and this is suitable, Linda! Wink

Really interesting - I concur on the weather! Just come back from 2 weeks in Germany where the locals said " Why did you come in June - it always rains " and it did I may need a waterprrof housing for my camera.

Great result, Linda, the limited palette of white and blue works well on this technique, and the single tree is perfect. Reminds me of the mythological tree Yggdrasil (tree of life).

This reminds me of Le Petit Prince, worried about his planet being overrun by baobab trees... See here.
