Lovely grainy feel. A sense of optimism from the "jouney's end". Full of beautiful patterns and geometries. Love it!

Eh? Is this some oil-related politics or am I just not getting it?

I am impressed by the lack of distortion in your 14mm lens.

Love the juxtaposition of the model's prim pose and the 'cello, the most erotic of all instruments!

Quote:Now, far be it for me to ever criticise your work as my stuff doesn't even come CLOSE to this quality, I have one tiny, tiny gripe with it and thats the way she is "playing" the violin...

Quite right. Most people who don't play think of violins as delicate; in fact, the physicality of the bow-string contact is intense. You see it everywhere - even high budget movies where they spend a fortune getting period details just right otherwise.

What a brilliant photo otherwise, though. I am inspired to get some lights out. Easily worth a vote!

Outstanding tone and detail. Hasn't anyone told you, digital isn't any good at b&w? Smile

  • Posted on: GIMP 2.6 Review

I got tired of the 8-bit colour depth of the gimp some time ago and gave been giving krita a try. http://krita.org What's your opinion of that application? I've grown to like it, but of course there's a whole new learning curve. The clone tool is just a special sort of brush, for example. But it supports greater colour depths.

Also, what about film gimp? Seems like it died but is being resurrected as cinepaint: http://www.cinepaint.org
