As i said yesterday i think this is a good well timed capture and it looks great just as is without any manipulation, well captured.........

When the focus is slightly off it is quite difficult to enhance the shot without adding to much noise to the image, I have uploaded a mod but it is suffering from added noise due to the enhancement used to try to bring out the definition a bit more.

Thanks Tony, that was the problem I came accross when processing, and I only have 10.2mp to start with.

I think the way forward with in this type of photography is to use a longer lens which I now have and back it up with Genuine fractals 6 for upsizing and printing large, and possibly Denoise 5 to deal more effectively with the inevitable noise reduction that will be required.

Wonderful shot !...Ten times better than the 'textured' image....the bird is now in all it's glory !, looking like a mid-air ballet-dancer...absolute stunner !!!!

A lovely capture but the focus point has hit the near wing leaving the crucial eye and head unsharp.
The iso speed is also a tad high as the background is a bit grainy.
I have a few of these Chaffinches in my PF for comparison
