What a great image Colin and the her beauty just shines out of the screen.

This does ask the question of what type of shot do we as photographers go for. The one that tells the story of the time and place of that moment or the portrait that captures everything you want in a portrait this good...

That's very kind Robert

With me it's "I want it to be everything" ... and often feel I'm almost there, but not quite

But I was quite pleased with this shot

I often find that the unplanned impromptu shots can produce the best results

Oh and as for Laura's beauty, I've always said she has her mother's looks and her father's brains

Then again it could be her mother's looks and her mother's brains!

Ok, I've just sang my way through; Under The Boardwalk, ( The Rolling stones did a good version on their second album.)

Robert does pose a good question, and I think you've captured a good slice of both elements, Colin. To make it more of a portrait I would crop away the right hand side but, with her lovely windswept hair, I would leave it just as it is. IMHO.
And as for who has the brains? It must be you because you married Linda.Wink

Aha! You're right!

I'm not so daft after all Grin
Excellent portrait - charming smile and engaging eyes. I think I would like to see a cropped head/shoulders version GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

What a beautiful portrait, this is another in my ever growing list of photos I refer to as "I wish I had taken that!"
