Spectacled Thrush

By netsukekoi
OK - there is no such thing as a spectacled thrush, but there was a whole flock of these in the holly bush in the front garden today. Urban environment, busy road, South Coast, sub-zero and icy. Sorry - taken through glass so not my best photo. Anyone tell me what it is please?

A beautiful Redwing - there are loads of these around this year (these and Fieldfares, which seem to flock together). Everyone seems to have them but me! Sad You've caught yours brilliantly, I really like the holly and berries surrounding it (all our holly berries are long gone!).

It's a Redwing which often flock with Fieldfares. They come over from Scandinavia thinking it's warmer here but, this year, they may not notice the difference!
Nice photo - it's not obvious that it was through glass.
