They took the Church down

By netta1234
This is what they've left after taking the Church down as there were too much work needed to be done. It's in a tiny village of Sarn Meillteyrn on the way to Aberdaron. It's a shame ,as it was a lovely Church,I played the organ there once at a wedding. It's just a few yards from where my Mum lives.

V2----------This is the end where the altar was
V3---------- Looking from where the inside of the church was
V4----------The door from inside

At least they've left the notice board so that folk can see what's not on.
How strange.

Good picture, Netta!

Once again I am only able to see V 1 with the versions not opening for me, Netta.
What a shame this delightful wee church had to end up this way.

Well portrayed Netta and with good detail. Disgusting to think that something that was obviously so well built and built to stand the test of time was not a national heritage site.

I am glad they left some of it standing as it's now got a charm of its own. I can imagine an inside/outside wedding there with beautiful chairs covered in white fabric and lots of flowers all over...the bride walking thought the door arch....well that's the romantic in me...

Eish, they did not. Check up on what they have planned for the a few years time that will most probably be sold to a consortium of Mall makers..... at a huge profit. SadSad Sad Regards Martin

Weird looking remnants of what was once no doubt a lovely old building.
Great for pictures though, I particular like V3 & V4 .

How amazing SmileSmile
Lovely collection of shots here. I wonder how out of date the notices are or if they outline the history of the building.
I love v3 in particular

A shame but when I looked for the church where my great-great grandparents were married I found it had been turned into a bar (of all things). Cocktail bar where the altar once stood. This is a shame but it has dignity.

A beautiful old church and I am so sorry, for you, that it has been taken down.

Sad that the church was under used and all that is left now. Great series Netta.
