Having never seen one of these before on my travels, I went to an Arboretum last week and found loads of them.
Quite a few had holes in them but these two had as yet not been touched.
The second shot shows just how prolific they were.
Thanks for looking and for your continued support.
Wonderful colour and light, beautifully captured, Annette. I've never seen one of these beauties, and certainly have no chance of every finding one here! Carol
Congrats on your first FA, guessing you didn't want to get your knees dirty
Beautiful specimens! Which arboretum did you find them in?
two wonderful captures brilliant detail and colours v1 for me toady a cracker nice one
First one?...bloomin' eck Annette, they're both very good but for me, V2 has the edge simply for showing them all in a slightly different context to the normal shroom shot
Lovely shot. colours and composition. Well done.
Super collection of fungi,well done.
Just beautiful and I love V2 with them all in situ.
Good details and colours Annette, like the wider view too.
Two beautiful shots, V1 is just super and the composition is spot on. The crop on V2 is good too.
Thanks Richard, if I'd have got down on my knees I would never have got up again !
Thanks Karen, the arboretum is next door to Castle Howard, it's so tranquil there with huge wide open spaces. It belongs to Kew I believe.
My first one - obviously I have led a very sheltered life, I must get out more.
Ah, Yorkshire...................a bit far for me!
V1 really is just perfect ... lucky you to find them and do them such justice...
first class work
Excellent capture. Very nice of you to include V2; it gives one some idea regarding its natural setting.
Nice pair of images. Paul
2 excellent shots,
V 1 is an excellent close-up, the detail in the subject captured so well and beautifully lit, whilst I do like V 2 showing the bigger picture, and with a crop that cuts out unnecessary distractions around. Nice work, Annette.
2 lovely shots of these so photogenic 'shrooms! Like all the other fungi, they seem to have enjoyed a wonderful year. Like the perfect stage of the young in V1 but lovely seeing the scattering in V2 likewise.
Wonderful set of image all very beautiful indeed.V1 is my favorite,
Super light and comp in V1 and thanks for V2 for showing the normal habitat.
V1 is gorgeous, but V2 is unusual, it's not often people hold back and give the bigger picture.
Happy to make this 30!!!! wow, there are a lot there! i am very jealous.. been out hunting this morning and no luck x x
A fine example Annette.
Great shot, I like your gallery.
Well spotted (literally) and well captured..........martin

Beautiful colour and light, love them both.
Excellent captures Annette - I found my first last year and have seen a couple more in the same location this year, so hopefully you will too.

Looks like they are straight out of a Walt Disney film, well captured.

Wonderful set with beautiful color and amazing detail, Patti
Outstanding detailed image, well spotted and taken..
Two dam fine shots Annette, I can't remember seeing any of these before, I don't think they are found in the types of woodland found in Gloucestershire/Herefordshire
Two great shots, v1 an excellent close up, and v2 is brilliant as it has the air of a fairy tale place.
Beautiful capture. I love the image.
