I would love to see this larger, it looks as though you have made excellent use of the available light.

Hi NevP

Send me an email and I will mail it to you!

I normally shoot these theatre pieces with a 50mm F1.4 lens, this time I was forced to be too far away from the actors, so used the 70-200, initially was very unhappy with the results.

Thank you for the closer look Bazil. You have captured a superb range of emotion being shown, under very difficult conditions. Really a great job.

Thank you very much, but Nikon deserves some of the praise, they have brilliant equipment and it is joy to use.

Thanks Lifesnapper, went through your gallery, great images and ditto on the issue of candid images.

Appreciate your comment and interest.

Would be better on this site without the advertising.

Sorry James, it was my screen saver on my machine at work, I won't make the same mistake twice.

All my pics tend to have my signature on them, 'pro theatre' stuff for a series I produced for a local multi-media exhibition of my work, was too lazy to remove.

But as I am in South Africa I really didn't think it would be a sticky point.

Thanks for the heads up.

No problem Bazil, sorry if I came across a bit sharp Smile
I've just had a quick look at your site and you have some cracking images. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

I hope you find epz a friendly and useful community.

Good morning James,

no harm done, I will just have to be more careful in future.

I had a look at your gallery, the standard is very high on epz and as I am stuck in the 'colonies,' I often feel as if I operate in a bubble.

Competition sharpens your skills and forces one to raise their personal bar.
