WOW just amazing...last weekend I tried to take something like this...but the result wosn't good...can you tell me what was the apertur and the ISO here...Congratulation on the HC ...well deserved!
NevP 15 853 13 Canada

Thanks Milena. The shutter speed would have been 1/500, the aperture probably f4 or 5.6 (I'm on my laptop so can't check at the moment) and the iso 100. What problem did you run into?

Thanks for your answer Nev!Well I used my 70-200mm at f4 and f5.6 and the ISO was 320/it was a cloudy day/...The shutter mode was "aperture ptiority"..I'm not sure that it was a correct mode. And a lot of my shots was out of focus...I'm not shure where is my mistake...
Have a dreat weekend Smile

Hi Nev,
This image and "all business" reached my shortlist and it came down to what I felt was the hardest to capture in my mind.
Both Fantastic images, even better large.

Thank you guys.
Phil, many thanks for your very kind comments and your award, it is greatly appreciated. This one would be the harder to capture, you are right, however the other is a little more unusual maybe. Thank you again.

This is just magnificent. I'm sorry to be so late in commenting, but I haven't got around to looking at many images this last fortnight. Anyway, that aside, this is an image of raw power. The muscular detail on the horse as it loses it's footing in the dirt, together with the concentration on the girls' face is just so powerful. This is rightly recognised as a top photograph. I hope you get wider recognition for this one as it fully deserves it.
Oh, and just one other point. Can you imagine this taking place in the UK without hard hats!!!!!
