Nice capture. Good colour but there is some noise around the upper third of the image. How tight was the crop? Was this hand-held? I expect it's because the bird was moving whilst eating..

The camera was tripod mounted, but the bird was not still for a moment. Like Andy (above) I have been trying for these for years. I was just glad the opportunity had at last presented itself

Great shot, the plumage and colours really show why a goldfinch is one of the best !
