Very nice colour and movement in the sky, love the detail of the foreground but I would've cropped out the ugly cranes to the right of the background. Looks like you've "auto adjusted too as there's a lot of noise in the shadow area of the rocks on the left hand side.

That sky is absolutely gorgeous and the whole image has a lovely, slightly fairy-tale feel to it. I really like the light falling on the boats across the river too. Nice one!

thanks all. Janie, that noise was a concern but not really much I could do about it as it was a ten stopper job. (apart from burn it all down). Lesley, a friend accompanied me on Saturday. He is from the other side of the Mersey and came over just as the race was starting to avoid the traffic. He tells me that Dunnings bridge road was a car park for the poised limo's! So maybe you made the right call. Check the tide guides for the next 'in' tides if you want some fluidy stuff to play with. Mark, even had my snow boots on so didn't even get my toes wet Smile. Anna, thank you.
thanks again! off to finish a Birthday cake for Bruffy as he is 40 tomorrow.

Super shot Mand, lovely soft pastille tones and textures in this and nicely composed using the rippled sand as FG.
