11am At Killin

By Goggz
I spent a lovely morning at the end of Loch Tay just south of the Falls of Dochart at Killin (Yes, Tooth, you were right!!) in fog on a freezing morning photographing birds (in this case a group of cormorants) ... my feet were like blocks of ice by the time I left.

These are all different crops of the same basic shot that is uploaded here. Please let me know which you think works best Smile They are colour shots, I didn't fancy mono just yet.

Thanks for looking!
Cheers, GOggz

I like the close in shots, but I think on balance I prefer the one you lead with as it puts them more in context and the proportions seem better than V2.

Well! I never! I confess,
It musta been the black nectar Wink

But a good pome nevertheless Ganto Smile

Ranking first amongst the less arty deliberations is Javam's contribution - very well considered Neil and valuable as a consequence. Ta muchly!

I never was good at maths, so I'm now regretting asking you lot to tell me your preferences... but I do like your comments too so keep them coming - just don't expect a full analysis of the figures in Excel Wink

Tsk, tsk! I've just noticed Freja's mod - very good indeed Smile It puts the far birds on the upper third and is an improvement!! Thanks chook!

Lovely atmospheric shot. I hope you didn't mind the mod. I just cropped it and added a little curves.
