Kaybee. I have to agree that the location is not that great for the Sculptures to be snapped, with the given limitations. However the bit of "false canal" you mentioned is in fact the new lock and the extension of the canal further down and parallel to the River Carron where it joins the Carron past the Bridge Kerse Bridge (A905). The Kerse Bridge has been transformed in a Folding Bridge. With these changes to the original layout boats have easier passage from the Forth to the Forth and Clyde Canal and reverse, as otherwise the low Motorway and Kerse Bridge blocked the passage most of the day. I attached a Link to an image I took the otherday. Showing the new stretch of Canal. another view Still hat to remove the irretating pylon and overhead wires. You picked a nice time for the light.
Over all I prefer the B&W version - it's more dramatic to me than the Colour Version. If I could have the looks on the SECC of the Colour one in the B&W I would be 100 satisfied as it his is just a superb capture of structure and 3D shape.
Good capture of the performers pose - works well in B&W, Pin sharp. Great. But I have to agree on Shooty-1's comment. The person in the background breaks the image. It's hard to keep the 2nd eye on what is happening when you focus on a subject. Next time more luck patience and you have a winner.
