Lovely expression on Both faces, Niamh. But for me the background colour is to much equal to the skins.

I love it. I wish we could see a tiny bit more of baby's expression, but it doesn't detract from a great portrait. Lovely tones. I like the frame, too.

thank for your comments all. they're really appreciated.

yes, it's a shame the baby's head wasn't turned a tad more towards the camera isn't it, but i think her mood still comes through.

paul, that's a nice compliment. thank you. i really want to get good at it because, like you, i really love it.

fred, what happened to your frame fetish?

I'm inclined to agree about the background, have you tried adding a bit of noise, not too much but it might give it an edge? Super portrait and love the tone though. Klicked. K.

When I look at pictures like these I always think of the baby looking a this when she is grown up, Thats one reason I like taking so many of my own kids, its something for them to look back on, thanks for sharing Niamh.

Niamh, the toning is lovely. The expressions are excellent! There's just enough of the baby's face to see the expression - it works Smile

love this one - the expression on the baby's face is still very recognisable. I am sucker for this type of shot!!
