I've revisited this one a few times now, Nic, and I've finally decided I like it. have to admit I wasn't sure at first. I see it now as a "mind landscape", verging on the surreal. therefore, I like it.

Full size looks great. Hope to be coming over to Perth in July, but it's still very much up in the air at the moment.

I like it Nic, I always admore landscapes as I am hopeless at them, thanks so much for the comments, re the street pic, the young fellow this morning is the other chaps friend but this one is not as damaged as the other boy, unfortunately they are both heading for trouble as they are starting to break into places now..

Re Jill's comment on the Australian cricket team... couldn't agree more!!!! But then again there's a little bit of mixed emotions there since I was born in Perth 53 Princess Road way back in the dark ages of 1943... thanks for your comment on my two egyptian chatterboxes.... I'll go back to it now and cut off the LEFT hand side... that'll show him.

Wonderful use of colours, creates a 'fairytale' mood! Thanks for the 'Koala'comment. I was in Perth (favourite place in OZ) during a trip in 1999 that took me all over Australia and NZ. Try the train ride from Perth - Sydney..and take the camera !

Nic, wonderful portfolio, and yes it pretty much all works! The lightness at the top of the frame stops this from being a straight record shot to something more dreamy as if the scene is half painting half photo. I love these knarled trees and reflections you find.
