Excellent exposure with just the right shutter speed to ensure the water looks just right. A slight change of viewpoint to the right (if posible) may have helped the water continue from the top section to the bottom. Well worth another look in autumn too as a guess those leaves will look superb and golden brown.

Thanks for your comments guys. Pete, I agree with you but I couldn't get any further to the right. i was pearched on a small ledge about 5 metres above the river for this one, however, I did take a few more from ground level, which you can see in the portfolio section.

Beatiful composition, nicely framed by trees. Like use of slow shutter speed to add movement to water. Gear to see landscapes taken in poertrait format.

A lovely use of slow shutter speed . A beautiful waterfall only one small niggle . Couldn't you make your name and copyright less prominent ?

Unfortunately Mavis it a sign of the digital times we live in. I've had images in the past reproduced without my permission, so nothing goes onto the internet now without the defacing copyright stamp. Obviously I still have the original image without the copyright for my own use or for sale, and I do try to make it as unobtrusive as possible, whilst making it difficult for a second party to crop and re-use the image. This should be a forum topic? Has anyone else had work misused without permission? Nic

Nic my son told me if people really want to be mean and use your pictures they WILL find a way round it even if you do have copyright stamped on it .

Wonderful waterfall shot but I have to agree with Mavis - the copyright stamp really turns me off. Chris.

Can you not put a watermark on it that appears when used without permission - ie when you print it or try to save it? i thought photoshop 7 had this facility. But I could be wrong.

Heidi, please tell me more. This would be the answer I've been looking for. I have the full version of PS 7 but haven't been able to find this feature yet. Thanks, Nic
