this one is excellent great dof..but find the background a Little to busy...Nick hope this helps, I love flowers & enjoy their beauty, as you can see from my work I try & find new ways to display natures beautiful specimens...I'm just responing to your request..It's just how I see ..Paddy

Paddy, thanks for your comments and help as always. I agree with all of them. I struggled today to get the right aperture. I either had to shallow a DOF but nice clean backgrounds, or great DOF but busy backdrops. I couldn't help the blue, as it was a really beautiful day here. I'm not sure what's gone on with the compression, I didn't do anything different, but they all seem quite poor? They're all 50kb and the suggested 500x350 pixels etc? Any ideas? Nic

this happen's to mine to I'm at a loss too..you are lucky to have blossom so soon, I can't wait !!!..Why don't you cut a stem off..to take & play, you can control your background then, I still use the sky..stick it in a fence or something to hold it ..I do love the deep blue sky just feel it need to be an unclutter background, it would show those stemin's off beautifully...keep at it
