Portrait of a bride...

By nicanddi
One from two weekends ago. This shot was taken on the stairs so it wasn't possible to frame it without the wooden wall mounted beam behind her appearing in the background...though we did our best to make sure it wasn't 'sticking directly out of the top of her head.'

I tried removing it in PS but actually decided I preferred the image with it left in. However I did remove a few distracting elements on the wall like a couple of power sockets and the edge of a picture frame etc.

Any comments welcome as always, especially as I know most wedding images uploaded usually receive very few comments.

This is a very nice candid portrait of a bride, and one that will surely appeal to the bride and groom.

I can see what you are saying about the wooden beam, but I honestly don't think it detracts from the photo's candid quality.

You are right by the way, wedding photo's very rarely get commented on, which is why I don't choose to put mine on here! But hey-ho, everyone to there own.

Many thanks for taking the time to comment. I'm with you on not uploading many 'social photographs' but do occassionally as you never know when someone else might be able to see something in the image you haven't, or have a great idea on how it might be improved etc.

this is a lovely shot of a bride - the wooden beam does not distract from the pic - well taken
