'Rush Hour'

By nicanddi
This was taken at rush hour in one of Japan's busiest commuter railway stations. the sheer number of people who pass through here each day is nothing short of unbelievable. This picture for me, captures the hectic pace of Japanese life.

Well done Nic, this picture relly does make you think of rush hour. Did you use a tripod for this shot?

Nice shot Nic, it does exactly what it says on the tin! The amount of movement is about perfect, the composition eye-catching and holding - i can see this as an advert for something.....Well done. Dave.

Good shot. I think you're very brave setting up a tripod on a rush-hour Japanese train station. I bet it was a sturdy one !

I keep meaning to attempt a similar shot to this. Manchester Piccadilly station has just had an overhaul and this photo has inspired me to get working, thanks!

The attempt is great, but it's not quite there for me. I think the people in the background should be blurred too to give it the shot a complete sense of movement.

Thanks for your comments guys. I'd like the people at the top to be a little more blurred, however setting the exposure for this meant that the people closest to me were completely unrecognisable. I tried about 20 variations and this was the one with the best balance.
