Fire & Brimstone

By Nick_w
Thanks Pete for the HC on the last image Smile

Last Saturday saw quite an impressive display at sunrise for about 5 minutes, with such intense colours - its a long time since I've seen such vibrancy, the whole vista looked like it was on fire.

This is very much what it looked like on the camera back !! Anyone who knows Saltwick, knows how large the Black nab is, look at the wave extreme left (you will probably need to see the larger view), and that was not by any stretch of the imagination one of the larger ones !! - this was supposed to be low tide!!

That's beautiful Nick, damn colourful, but beautiful. The nab forms a perfect focal point and the light reflecting on the foreground rocks is a joy to behold. A very fine image.

A truly beautiful capture, Nick. I'd hazard a guess at 8-10 feet for the wave. (Old surfer). Wink

The intensity of the sunrise colours are superb and I love the way the colour is catching on the wet f/g boulders. Very well composed shot.
