Smokers Corner

By Nick_w
First appologies - I've had no time for photography recently, work is just crazy at the moment and no let up in sight (well over 60 hours this week). Just itching to get back out with the camera again, alas I can't see that happening anytime soon. Must get round to speak to BT again about the internet speed !!

Digging deep into the archives for a shot from a very good evening in Dublins Temple bar area.

High-contrast, high quality BW conversion Nick. Very eye-catching.

Maybe worth spending some time with the clone tool though as those white flecks on the guy's jersey and the blackboard are an irritation.

Gritty observation Nick .

A tad over-sharpened perhaps , de chalk on the board got noise .

And the whole image livens up if you drop the pricelist white , kinda juxtaposes the blokes and the toilet message then.

Refreshingly punchy !

Thanks everyone. Having real probs tonight with Internet having to use a phone connection.

On the comments: DaveU yep the blackboard should have been sorted - flaking paint. On the jumper it's ash from the tags which looks ok on a full size image but your right on the web it's off putting.

Dave - Eviscera maybe a touch oversharpened on the web version, tho the noise was mainly due to the high ISO 1600 on the D300 that was about the limit. Also it's a bit weatherworn with black paint showing through. Marked both as constructive cheers guys.
