Award Shortlist

Part of my long exposure mono project.

I uploaded this yesterday, but noticed a big black blob in the sky (must have inadvertantly painted on the layer and not the mask on the web upload version (its not there in the master) - although i hadn't noticed it in the version I uploaded "elsewhere" a few days before, tho itrs there. (I will put it in the versions so you can see). I also thought it was a fraction over sharpened.

So sorry to all those that voted / commented on it last night.

A big thanks for the awards on my last upload

Stonehaven as I have seen her before, Nick, but so beautifully portrayed in this well composed and executed B and W presentation.

Wonderful mono. I would have assumed the blob in version 2 to be part of a cloud if you hadn't mentioned it.

I missed the colour version the other day, it's a fascinating comparison. This seems much more harmonious to me.

Well done spotting Mr Blobby in the sky Nick, comparing the versions, V2 does seem to be oversharpened.
A very good strong conversion...I'm getting there with mono stuff but still have loads to learn Wink

I have noticed a trend to over sharpen lately-- V1 is wonderful!
